New Public Service Commission Act Signed into Law

Public Service Act and Regulations (103/1994)

The President has signed the new Public Service Commission Act into law. The act aims to strengthen public sector oversight and accountability in South Africa.

The act repeals the Public Service Commission Act of 1997 and is yet to be commenced on a date fixed by the President, by proclamation in the Gazette.

Draft Strategic Framework for Water and Sanitation Services

Water Services Act and Regulations (108/1997)

The Minister of Water and Sanitation, and duly authorized by the Water Services Act, 1997 (Act No. 108 of 1997), has issued a notice for the publication of the draft Strategic Framework for Water and Sanitation Services as contained in the schedule hereto.

The due date for submitting comments is the 30th of October 2026.
