The Information Regulator (Regulator), in terms of the provisions of section 61(2) of the Protection of Personal Information Act (4/2013), has given notice of the proposed Own Initiative Code of Conduct on the Processing of Personal Information at Gated Accesses in South Africa that deals with how personal information will be processed in the gated accesses.
A notice will be published in the Government Gazette in compliance with section 61(2) of POPIA. Affected persons are invited to submit written comments to the Regulator email address: POPIACompliance@inforegulator.org.za, within fourteen (14) days after publication of the notice in the Government Gazette.
