The President has assented to the Constitution Eighteenth Amendment Act, 2023.
The objective of the amendment act, is to amend the Constitution, as well as to recognise South African Sign Language as one of the Official Languages of the Republic of South Africa.
The amendment act will come into operation on a date fixed by the President by proclamation in the Gazette.
