Amendment: Regulations Relating To Certificates Of Competency

Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations (29/1996)

The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, in terms of section 98(1)(zl) of the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act No. 29 of 1996), and after consultation with the Mine Health and Safety Council, has amended the regulations to the Minerals Act, 1991 (Act No. 50 of 1991) relating to certificates of competency, as set out in the schedule.

Exemption Of Motor Vehicles: Height Restriction

National Road Traffic Act and Regulations (93/1996)

The Minister of Transport acting in terms of section 75(1)(d) of the National Road Traffic Act,1996 hereby exempts the operation on our public roads of motor vehicles transporting ISO Containers from complying with the provisions of regulation 224(b) of the National Road Traffic Regulations 2000, issued under the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act No. 93 of 1996) until further notice.

This Notice suspends the application of punitive measures and calling on Law Enforcement Agencies to collect data of motor vehicles transporting ISO Containers.
