Guidelines For The Compilation Of Mandatory Codes Of Practice

Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations (29/1996)

The Chief Inspector of Mines, under section 49(6) of the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act No. 29 of 1996) and after consultation with the Council, has issued the following guidelines for occupational health programmes in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act, as set out in the Schedule:

Guideline for a Mandatory Code of Practice for an Occupational Health Programme on Thermal Stress; and

These guidelines will come into effect on 1st May 2022.
