The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, has given notice that the submission of a report generated from the national web based environmental screening tool, as contemplated in Regulation 16(1)(b)(v) of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014, published under Government Notice No. R.982 in Government Gazette No. 38282 of 04 December 2014, as amended, will be compulsory when submitting an application for environmental authorisation in terms of regulation 19 and regulation 21 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 after 90 days from the date of publication of this Notice. Until such time, the screening tool will be available for voluntary use.
