Three further mandatory guides of practice are available as mandated by the Chief Inspector of Mines in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act. These are -
- The management of medical incapacity due to ill-health and injury. (Effective Date: 31 May 2016)
- The right to refuse dangerous work and leave dangerous working places. (Effective Date: 01 July 2016)
- Minimum standards of fitness to perform work on a mine. (Effective Date: 30 June 2016)
