Amendment Of Regulations Issued In Term Of Section 27(2)

Disaster Management Act and Regulations (57/2002)

The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, designated under section 3 of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of 2002), having declared a national state of disaster, published in Government Gazette No. 43096 on 15 March 2020, has in terms of section 27(2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2002, after consultation with the relevant Cabinet Ministers, made the Regulations in the Schedule.

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa ("the Authority") has issued a notice to harmonise and mandate short code '111' in terms of regulation 4(3) read with Schedule 1 of the Numbering Plan Regulations ("Regulations"), Government Gazette No. 39861 published on 24 March 2016.
