The Protected Disclosures Amendment Act amends the principal act to make provision for the concept of workers in the legislation in addition to employees so as to cater for contract workers and temporary employees. Employees that work or worked for the state will also be included in the definition of workers.
The Act aims to impose joint liability on both the employer and client for occupational detriment or victimisation that happen to an employee.
