The Chief Inspector, duly designated by the Minister of Employment and Labour in terms of section 27(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993), has given notice that all Class II commercial diving schools are exempted from the provisions of Regulation 3(3) of the Commercial Diving Regulations.
This exemption is granted on the basis that the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) has ceased registering Class II commercial diving schools.
