Your original installation disk will be pre-loaded with a set of data files matching your purchased library suite with Data Dynamics. When any of the titles you own are updated you will be sent an update disk. On it will be an installation program that will update your files. It is advisable to keep this disk in the amray disk case that your program was sent to you in. This will make any re-installs easier.
To apply the update, please execute the "InsDataUd.exe" located on the update disk. It is advisable to perform the update on the computer that "Insight" was originally installed from. If the update is run from a different computer, you will be required to browse to the directory that the original program was installed to. Once the update program detects the correct installation directory, all program components and documents will automatically be updated. NB: Please exit/close the "Insight Document Browser" before performing the update.
Yes. This will however require an update service login. Please contact us if you wish to subscribe for an electronic update login account.
The program will do this for you automatically. When you start the program it will check for newer versions and ask if you wish to update. If you do not have a permanent internet connection and prefer to do this manually you can switch off "Application Update Check" in the Configuration/Preferences. And from the Updates Wizard dialog or the program Main Menu select "Program Update" to periodically check manually after establishing an internet connection.
