In terms of section 43 (1) (b)(xii) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 ( Act No. 85 of 1993), the Chief Inspector has made it a requirement for SANAS accreditation as an Approved Inspection Authority to perform inspection services in terms of certain specified Regulations in the Act.
